Blue Bantam Pullet

This is 'Sapphire',  an excellent blue Araucana pullet that should be at her best just in time for the Winter shows. She is a daughter of my good black hen, Jasmine, who was the first black bantam Araucana hen to ever earn an ABA Starred Win (in a class of 103). "Forty", A Red Araucana Cockerel, Large Fowl

Has just returned from the ACA/APA National Show in Belvidere where he was 1st Place Red Araucana Cockerel, and Reserve of Variety. He has good willow legs, correct wing carriage, and size, and is ready to go back to the shows or into the breeding pen. This picture was taken at the 2009 National show. His left tuft (the one you can see) is good sized but the right tuft is much bigger. Wing Band #1024. 'Chrome', A Golden Duckwing Bantam Araucana Cock

Here is 'Chrome', a beautifully colored, Golden Duckwing Araucana bantam cock. Picture is from the APA National Show in Belvidere September 12-13, 2009 where he was 1st Place Golden Duckwing Cock and Best of Variety.  His tufts are huge and well balanced and he consistently passes them on to his chicks. I have been showing him for a year and a half and he has accumulated numerous awards including Reserve AOCCL, and Reserve of Breed.  He is the sire of my Silver Duckwing Pullet, who was also named Best of Variety at the National show last week.  He has excellent fertility and is a gentleman in the breeding pen.  I will be showing him until sold. This is a big pretty Red Araucana hen who is clean-headed and fully rumpless. She is out of my 'Red' line but I have raised some good black pullets out of her that have won big at the shows (Champion AOSB). She would make a great addition to any Araucana breeding program. This hen laid all Winter and Spring and is now taking a well deserved break. I am cutting back on my Araucana hens because I have new pullets just starting to lay. Wing Band #116. Here is a beautifully colored, double tufted, rumpless, Araucana cockerel - large fowl. He is only 18 weeks old in this picture and still has a lot of maturing to do. He has correct willow legs. His tufts are still not fully grown in but the right tuft should eventually be pretty large and the left tuft is small. This is not a standard color in the Araucana but you should be able to show him as an AOV. His striking color can best be described as Mahogany Golden Wheaten (or Salmon Wheaten). This picture was taken 8-13-2009.
